Alber Elbaz: Still Amazing
We did a post featuring Alber way back in May of 2007, and this lovely roundup of Ariel Levy's profile of Alber for the New Yorker reminded us, hey, we should do that again.
So here we are, doing it again. There's something about Alber that just makes him a complete package - he's wildly talented, obviously, as he's one of the premier fashion designers in the world. There's also always something appealing about a big man who dresses himself well in clothes which are flattering, but at the same time not all about trying to totally mask those extra pounds.
There's also those glasses, of course, which lend him that geeky, I'm-a-bit-smarter-than-you charm which reminds us a lot of Allan Sherman.

He is just adorable. I love the last picture!
Speaking of the last picture.. I believe that is Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra. A bear couple and design team out of Brooklyn. Oh and smoking hot too.

There’s some dudes blogged about on here that just make me stop in my tracks, and Alber’s always one of them. How more perfect can you get? Adorable geeky vibe, disgustingly talented AND great taste in friends (Costello/Tagliapietra AND Chloe Sevigny? Colour me jealous).

Those effing shoes are, well, disastrous. Seriously. I wouldn’t let this guy dress a corpse. UGH. But then again. I always look at the shoes. They say a lot about a person.
