Reasonable, but considering the story is J-nasty was beackoned to Michael Bay's lair and wordlessly left after reading 20 pages of the (I'm sure shitty) script, Jonah might not have needed much convincing from Seth anyway.  Or maybe these are the parties responsible for talking him out of it:
