All Folked Up is a new play created by a good friend of Chubarama, Joshua R. Pangborn, playing in New York City July 13th, 17th, and 18th. It's part of the 11th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival, and produced by Sidekick Productions.
One of the best parts, for Chubarama readers at least, is that Sidekick Productions features size-blind casting whenever possible. Large and not-so-large actors are welcome to be players, which makes for not only a good night of theater for the audience, but a chance for some nice eye candy, too.

ALL FOLKED UP
The classic fairy tales are told as they weren’t meant to be in All Folked Up, a new play by Joshua R. Pangborn and produced by Sidekick Productions for the 11th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival.
Opening July 13th, 2010 at 7:30 P.M. at The Jewel Box Theatre (312 W. 36th Street, Fourth Floor), this tale follows Cinderella on a journey that ultimately leads her to her Prince. But, before Cinderella can meet and marry her prince, she has to learn important life lessons all little girls should from Hansel & Gretel, Little Red, and the Frog King. Fairy tale lessons, however, really aren't all that progressive…
Tickets are available online at www.midtownfestival.org. Tickets are $15 dollars in advance and $15 at the door.
Tickets for Industry professionals and Press are free by contacting Joshua R. Pangborn at 917.589.3914 or sidekickproductionsjosh@gmail.com.
All Folked Up opens on July 13th at 7:30, with additional performances on July 17th at 1:00 and July 18th at 7:00. All performances are at The Jewel Box Theatre.
Created in 2010 by Joshua Pangborn, Sidekick Productions is a company which strives for size-blind casting whenever possible. In January 2006, a short segment of All Folked Up, entitled Little Red Riding Hood-ish, won first place at the Bowery Poetry Club’s PlayOffs, a ten-minute play.
